Why IEC Renewal is required?

In accordance with DGFT’s recent policy, the IEC must be updated annually from April to June, even if no changes have been made.

Furthermore, updating IEC is required if the address, trade name, email or mobile number changes, or the bank account used for exports or imports changes.

In case of non-update or non-renewal, the IEC code will become deactivated and you will no longer be able to import or export goods.
